Ever since I have started writing on Linkedin, my focus has been to aid prospecting programmers with better ways to learn Java Programming. But never have I told you guys the reason for promoting Java language so much. Well,  the reasons are very simple – first is that I am a founder of the online platform MeritCampus which is all about learning Java and secondly because it is the most preferred language across the globe. Yes, that is true!

The above-stated fact is not based on any assumption but the data provided by few credible programming language index websites which rank languages based on their demand and the google searches.

Java being the most common programming language is known for its speed and performance. And yes java language is used in real-time to develop many applications such as:

  3. Web Applications
  4. Software Tools
  5. Trading Applications
  6. Embedded Space
  7. Scientific Applications

This makes Java one of the top programming language for 2017 and gives a reason why every developer should keep themselves updated about Java throughout their programming life. Some of the latest research has shown that Java is the most searched language worldwide as well as in India.

The PYPL PopularitY of Programming Language Index is created by analyzing how often language tutorials are searched on Google. According to the recent studies, the results are shown below:

In India also the Java language tops the list.

Another index calculator, The TIOBE Programming Community index is an indicator of the popularity of programming languages. Though it’s important to note that the TIOBE index is not about the best programming language or the language in which most lines of code have been written.

These search results are good enough to conclude that Java is definitely the industry favorite till now and hopes to be the one in 2017 as well. So guys buckle up if you haven’t started learning Java yet.
